“I lean towards pieces with interesting details to elevate the look.”

It’s never easy trying to come up with a new series of outfit combinations for the working week. Instead of having a set uniform of crisp white shirts and tailored black pants (as much as I love both), an ever-changing schedule means every morning requires a new set of questions.

Am I running around, or just sitting at my desk? Do I need to dress specifically for a project? And most importantly, will I be in the background of someone’s TikTok?

This week, Brooklyn Ellis steps us through her working wardrobe. If there was one person who has mastered workwear, it’s Brooklyn. Known by many for her office outfit videos, she strikes the perfect balance between corporate and playful. “I love pieces that feel effortless yet have a little something extra to make them stand out,” she says.

Every Sunday, Brooklyn shares a TikTok where she plans and discusses her outfits for the coming days. Her week typically includes time at her part-time office job as a studio administrator, afternoons researching her Psychology thesis and filming content for her channel. To keep up with her schedule, her working wardrobe is filled with tailored trousers, bold pops of colour and statement pieces.

Monday

I plan my work outfits every Sunday on TikTok and I always start the week with my favourite outfit – it sets the tone for a good week! On Monday to Wednesday, I go into my part-time office job as a studio administrator and then I study in the afternoon. I am currently working on my master’s thesis in industrial and organisational psychology. So, for days like this, comfort is key.

I love pieces that feel effortless yet have a little something extra to make them stand out – this is what I look for when shopping for office wear. This top is from New Zealand brand Ellis, the pants are from Bayse, my bag is from W concept and the sunnies are from Le Specs.

Tuesday

I love switching up my outfits’ vibe throughout the week and Tuesday’s outfit has a completely different feel from Monday’s. Again, I am heading into the office in the morning and studying later, so of course, it had to be comfy. This green dress is from Ruby and is my most recent purchase.

I’ve made it feel a little more work-appropriate by layering a tee underneath. I think wearing colour is such a fun way to make outfits feel more interesting! The bag is another one from W concept, the sunnies are from Szade and the loafers are from Merchant 1948.

This butter-yellow colour has been a favourite of mine forever – it’s such a happy colour! I love playing with different colour combos and yellow and brown is such a fun, wearable one for me. As always, I lean towards pieces with interesting details to elevate the look and this top does just that. The top is from One of the Others, the pants are from I Love Ugly and the shoes are Bared footwear.

Thursday

Thursdays are usually my content and study days but today I had a Kate Spade Lunch, so naturally, I styled my outfit around this gorgeous new Kate Spade bag. I kept the look monochrome with this fun Wynn Hamlyn dress and I added knee-high boots from Merchant 1948 for a bit more edge. I love how it turned out.

Friday

Ending the week with maximum comfort! I was studying and running errands all day, so jeans and a knit were the perfect combo. But of course, I had to make it interesting by wearing fun patterns and shapes. This Wynn Hamlyn knit is a recent secondhand find and I already know it’ll be a staple for autumn/winter.

These Alpha60 jeans have the coolest barrel leg and waist tie detail, making them feel extra special. I’m wearing my favourite uni bag from Louenhide, it fits everything I need and these shoes are slingback mules from Hannah’s.

Keep up with Brooklyn here.
